Submersible wastewater pumps are used in biogas plants to dispose of condensation water from the soakaway and return it to the digester. Since there are explosion-proof areas in biogas plants, VORTEX drainage pumps are approved for use in the biogas sector and other potentially explosive areas of zones 1 and 2 in accordance with the requirements of the ATEX directives.
