The high noise level of a construction site does not only cause symptoms of illness among the construction site personnel. Also the neighbors of a construction site are often annoyed by noise emissions to a high degree for weeks and months.
Because it is generally not possible to protect the construction site workplace as a whole against noise emissions, attempts must be made to make the individual construction machines and equipment themselves quieter.

AVOLA has developed a special saw blade type HM/A/SG = carbide tipped/ wolf tooth/ noise damped for equipping construction circular saws.
This saw blade has 8 serpentine laser cuts in the main blade, which cause a deadening of the main blade. At the same time, these laser incisions are distributed in such a way that the saw blade still retains the required pretension, since the pretension is decisive for the stability of the saw blade during idling and machining.

Please note that the values in dB (= decibels) used for sound measurements are logarithmic numbers.
This results in the following for the table:
- 10 dB (A) downwards means halving of the sound level
- 3 dB (A) downwards means halving of the hearing hazard
