Evaporative cooling and humidity
A certain volume of air at a certain temperature and pressure can absorb and hold a certain amount of water vapor. When this volume of air contains 50% of the total moisture it is capable of holding, we refer to it as 50% relative humidity.
The hotter the day, the drier the air, the more it can be cooled by evaporation. In other words, the cooling effect is greatest when you need it most.
However, our evaporative coolers are designed to work well in high humidity environments, and they are much more effective than a simple fan that just circulates warm air.
Depending on the temperature and humidity of the environment you want to cool, our coolers will increase humidity by 2% to 5%. The slight increase is not noticeable in ventilated areas where the air produced by the unit is blown out.
How does it work?
The heart of the evaporative cooling system is the cooling mat: this is where the water evaporates and the air that passes through the mat is cooled. Evaporative cooling mats are made of grooved cellulose sheets that are glued together. The material is chemically treated with special components to prevent rotting and ensure long life and easy maintenance.

Master evaporative coolers cool the air by a simple natural process - evaporating water lowers the air temperature. A pump draws water from a tank and moistens a large pad of natural cellulose. A powerful blower sends air through the filter. The water from the filter evaporates and lowers the air temperature by several degrees. The fresh and clean air flows into the room and cools it down.
