POLARO® L and POLARO® XL are "salt spreaders" that are also ideally suited for large-area and finely metered spreading of grit, sand or fertilizer. A vehicle with hydraulic drive or cardan shaft is not necessary for this. The spreader is simply mounted on a vehicle with a loading platform, 12 V connection and sufficient load capacity and off you go.
If you only want to spread sand and chippings, please specify this when ordering, as a reinforced worm gearbox will then be installed for this purpose. The infinitely variable adjustment of the spreading width and the dosage of the spreading quantity is simply carried out directly on the control unit, independent of the spreading material, and can be conveniently changed while driving.

Convenient control with the control panel of the POLARO® L/XL
In addition to the infinitely variable adjustment of the spreading disc speed to determine the working width, the control unit can also be used to centrally control all other functions, e.g.
- Changing the auger speed to control the spread rate and boost function for briefly dispensing higher quantities of spreading material when required (ice formation)
- Three memory keys (P1-3) for individual assignment
- Automatic free-wheeling of the screw conveyor
- Empty message, residual emptying and service queries, etc.

All materials are designed to meet the special requirements of winter road maintenance. For example, not only are all metal parts made of stainless steel as standard, but the entire cabling and the individual gear motors are protected against the ingress of dust and water (IP67). The hopper is made of temperature-resistant, air- and water-impermeable polyurethane, which dampens vibrations and does not become brittle.
Adjustable spreading pattern
The spreading disc can be manually adjusted slightly more to the left or right by means of two adjusting screws. This allows the spreading material to be applied to the adjacent sidewalk or bicycle path in parallel with the roadway spreading.
Height-adjustable spreading disc
To achieve the desired results regardless of the carrier vehicle, the delivery height of the spreading disc (recommended: 0.40 - 0.80 m to the road surface) can be adjusted to the different vehicle types in no time at all.
Vibrators with automatic switch-on
The auger conveys the spreading material from the hopper to the spreading device. If the afterflow is blocked, the standard vibrator switches on automatically and loosens the spreading material in the hopper if necessary so that it can flow again.
